LAAMS STEAM Magnet

Welcome to the Los Angeles Academy STEAM Magnet Program! This innovative program is designed for students who are passionate about building, experimenting, creating, and designing solutions to real-world challenges.

Students engage in hands-on, project-based learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, students develop problem-solving skills that prepare them for college, careers, and the future.

Our program offers enriching after-school opportunities such as robotics, coding, engineering design, and other STEAM-focused activities, along with field trips that extend learning beyond the classroom and connect students to real-world experiences.

 

¡Bienvenidos al programa Magnet STEAM de Los Angeles Academy! Este programa innovador está diseñado para estudiantes que sienten pasión por construir, experimentar, crear y diseñar soluciones a problemas del mundo real.

Los estudiantes participan en aprendizaje práctico basado en proyectos que integra ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas (STEAM). A través de la colaboración, la creatividad y el pensamiento crítico, desarrollan habilidades de resolución de problemas que los preparan para la universidad, sus carreras y el futuro.

Nuestro programa también ofrece oportunidades enriquecedoras después de la escuela, como robótica, programación, diseño de ingeniería y otras actividades enfocadas en STEAM, junto con excursiones que amplían el aprendizaje más allá del salón de clases.

Los Angeles Academy Middle School STEAM Magnet at Linked Learning

Excited to represent Los Angeles Academy Middle School STEAM Magnet at our first Linked Learning conference, where our lead team, Mr. Baron, Ms. Bucio, and Ms. Romero, presented our innovative approach to education in South Central LA. Our session focused on the effectiveness of Linked Learning in the middle school setting, highlighting our dedication to student success and engagement. Additionally, our lead team shared valuable resources with other school districts and educational leaders, fostering collaboration and innovation across the educational landscape.
