Mr. Bybee
Hello!! My name is Mr. Bybee. I have been a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for over twenty-five years. I have taught grades kindergarten through eight. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Whittier College and my teaching credential from UCLA. My primary teaching assignments have mainly focused on middle school Math and Science. I currently teach both 6th and 8th grade classes involving scientific laboratory studies (Environmental Engineering and Medical Detective [Forensic Science and Criminalistics] and Paxton-Patterson Career Laboratory Studies at Los Angeles Academy Middle School. I am hoping to open the Center for Forensic Science and Criminalistics Studies in the 2024-2025 academic school year. In addition, I also possess a single subject authorization to teach Social Science.
It has always been my hope and dreams to inspire and empower each of my students to both embrace and engage in the investigation and research of all things “science.” I sincerely believe that we are all scientists in some way, shape, or form. It is my job as a teacher to bring out and refine the scientific mind that lurks within us all through in-depth experimentation and critical thinking/analysis.
